When relocating to a new city, you may have an overwhelming amount of things on your mind: a different job, different schools, a different church, different daily routines, and last but not least, finding a new place for your family to call "home". At Torrey Properties, I understand this, and I am an expert in relocation. I have a long history of finding buyers the right home by going through a very specific checklist to help you efficiently narrow your options.

When relocating, you often don't have the time to look at every home on the market. At best, you might be able to tour 20 to 25, so pare down your list first thing with this advice:

• Before you get here, send me a couple of lists: One should be of things you must have. The other should be for optional things you want. When a house doesn't even meet your needs, we can naturally eliminate it from the list.
• Know your budget. If you are going to get a home loan, have your pre-approved amount prior to seeing listings so we can eliminate homes which exceed your price range.
• What length of a commute are you willing to make each day to work and other interests? Traffic in the San Diego area could be different than what you're currently experiencing, so let me know your limits regarding drive-time, and I'll seek out homes within that radius.

Before we meet in person, I could send you my picks for properties we should see first. Or if you've done your own research already, let me know what you've found. While seeing listing photos on the web is invaluable, there's nothing like walking through homes in person. Let me set up any necessary appointments with other Realtors or homeowners and map a route. We could go to up to 8 or 10 homes in a single day with the proper planning.
